I started doing commercial work back in 2009 when I worked as a freelancer taking on both news editorial and commercial commissions. In March 2010 I got a job as an assistant photographer for a Los Angeles fashion conglomerate. I began by setting up and striking down lights as well as holding scrims and reflectors for the senior photographer while shooting garments both in studio and on location. We had an RV loaded with photo gear, models, and a couple of wardrobe racks and drove around LA looking for picturesque locations. I was also in charge of all the accessory photos - jewelry, handbags, scarves shot flat on a pure white background. I became senior photographer in 2012 and managed a team of 2 other junior photographers.
I have worked for several other companies since 2014 but most of my experience has been the same: an in-house photographer for apparel and/or accessory companies. I spend most of my time behind a camera or an image editing software doing  actual image creation instead of self-promotion. I am also experienced in running a photo department - set design and construction, casting models, maintaining equipment, managing image libraries, hiring and supervising team members, etc.
My experience spans across borders working with teams of different cultures/nationalities and time zones through difference communication platforms. I have worked with web developers in Ukraine, merchandisers in Shanghai, manufacturers in Seoul, and marketing specialists in Manila.
I am competent in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, In Design, Illustrator, and Capture One Pro as well as MS Office Suite. I am fluent in English and Tagalog (Filipino) and have working proficiency in Korean and Spanish.
